Screenings

If your dog has never been to Camp Canine before, you must first come in for a quick screening. The screening consists of a counselor meeting with the pup’s owner in order to fill out paperwork, drop of a copy of updated vaccinations, take a tour of the facility and get a breakdown of the daily operation. This initial meeting is done without your dog(s). After this initial meeting is complete we can set up a trial day for your dog(s) to introduce them to other dogs at Camp in order to assess temperament. We require that when dropping off your pups for their trial that they be brought to Camp prior to 7:30 am in order to introduce your dog(s) slowly to other dogs. This reduces the potential anxiety of the interaction and ensures that everyone is given the best chance for success.

We recommend screening your dog well in advance of when you plan to board. This allows you to bring your dog in for a day of daycare beforehand. That way, we can get to know your dog and your dog can get to know us!

All dogs over 7 months must be spayed or neutered before coming to Camp.

When you come in for a screening, you must have proof of the following vaccinations:

  • Rabies

  • Distemper

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough) - Note that the Bordetella vaccine is often optional when you go to the vet, so make sure you ask for it!

If you'd like to schedule a screening, please give us a call at (508) 881-7364. Please allow ~45 minutes for the screening process.
